As a Data Scientist in Operations, you will work on a variety of highly specific data science projects in the industrial machinery and manufacturing sector. You will be at the heart of incorporating the Knowlestry platform into client projects; listening carefully for clients' feedback and continuously innovating the product is essential. Our customers rely on precision, quality and applicability when using advanced AI and LLM technologies. With a great deal of patience and exceptional quality, your work will demonstrate to organizations in the industrial sector the potential of AI and LLMs.
About the role
We are currently seeking a talented Data Scientist with a strong interest in taking the lead in the building of a Data Science Team for our client projects. Here, we prioritize aligning Knowlestry’s product development and individual client projects to ensure quantifiable impact within the industrial machinery and manufacturing sectors. You will work closely with the engineering and digitalization departments at the client's site to solve complex questions involving machine data analysis. All your focus, ambition, enthusiasm, energy and love for detail is needed to make this successful.
In this role, you will:
- Pursue data science projects efficiently and accurately, from the development stage to shipping, whether on your own or as part of a team.
- Communicate with clients. This includes talking with technicians on the shop floor, as well as engineering departments and executives.
- Translate clients' requirements from individual data science projects into the backlog for Knowlestry's product development.
- Embed with the product development team to provide relevant feedback and drive growth.
- Contribute to a data-driven product development culture by defining feature-, product-, and company-level metrics.
What we look for:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years experience in a challenging role in a highly diverse environment, ideally as a data scientist for industrial applications.
- Strong foundation in mathematics and statistical analysis.
- Advanced programming skills in Python.
- Proficiency in machine learning algorithms and frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Have familiarity with the latest AI research and working knowledge of how these systems are efficiently implemented.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in loosely-defined and deadline-driven environments.
- Willing to take the initiative, the lead and learn new skills.
- Excellent English and any other European language.

€60K – €90K + Offers Equity
