As a senior data scientist, you will work within the core team on decision-critical topics across the research, engineering, product and design disciplines, bringing Knowlestry’s technology to the industrial machinery and manufacturing sector. Our customers rely on precision, quality and applicability when using advanced AI and LLM technologies. Your contribution will be crucial in disrupting industrial intelligence and adding significant value to our society.

About the role

We're seeking passionate Senior Data Scientist to take the lead in building our core technology for Knowlestry. Our focus here is on aligning research and product development to drive measurable impact for industrial machinery and manufacturing sector. There's a long way to go to making generative AI suitable for industry. All your focus, ambition, enthusiasm, energy and love for detail is needed to make this happen. 

In this role, you will:

  • Learn how to translate strategic decisions from operations into concrete development steps.
  • Build and lead the research team with a focus on leveraging domain knowledge of industrial machines and processes with generative AI.
  • Train domain-specific, hyperlocal and embedding AI models from scratch using relevant advanced AI techniques.
  • Fine-tune existing foundation AI models and design a hybrid model approach incorporating a token optimization strategy.
  • Gather, curate and preprocess domain-specific datasets related to industrial use cases to ensure quality and relevance for AI model training.

 

What we look for:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of profound experience in working on challenging research problems related to the field.
  • Advanced programming skills, e.g. in Python, in frameworks like PyTorch, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge in advanced AI techniques, e.g. NLP, Transformers, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in training of large language models with knowledge distillation, few-shot learning, transfer learning with layer freezing or learning rate scheduling, and meta-learning, etc.
  • Are familiar with methods of combining LLMs, such as multitask learning frameworks with shared transformer encoder, model ensembling and adapter layer concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in loosely-defined and deadline-driven environments.
  • Willing to take the initiative, the lead and learn new skills.

Compensation

€100K – €130K + Offers Equity
